This Research Experiences for Undergraduates program provides training to advanced students in conducting an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty member at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. Participants are matched with one or two faculty mentors who provide a supportive lab environment to guide the research project development, provide feedback on written and oral products, and provide mentorship on graduate school and other career opportunities. Participants also engage in professional development on skills necessary to succeed in the program and post-undergraduate careers.
